Leonardo DiCaprio as Octodad!
You know something I found interesting?
Is how when people meet dogs, they’ll say something like
“He’s so cute!”
And the owner will shyly respond with “she’s a girl, actually”
And the person will apologize and IMMEDIATELY start using the right pronouns.
So my question is,
If its so easy to do with DOGS why is it so fucking difficult to do with trans people?
Simple. A dog is a dog. It doesn’t look like a male or female dog to us, it’s just a dog (unless you dress it up). We only identify it as male or female after we’ve been told. But people look like their physical gender, unless made to look otherwise. And if you look like a woman, then people will struggle with calling you a man for quite a while after you’ve told them, simply because their eyes tell them you’re not.
